Our Team May Use Cups That Suction the Skin
This technique helps alleviate pain and tension, and allows the different layers of skin, and fascia glide more smoothly between one-another. This allows better blood and oxygen flow to the affected areas and provides fast relief. Cupping is one of the only decompressive tools we use that benefits numerous patients daily.
De-compressive Techniques
This is one of the few de-compressive techniques that we have, it lifts the tissue up and allows an increase in the amount of blood flow to the area. As a generally very safe, non-invasive technique, the biggest risk is that you get a circle red mark following the therapy performed.
The goal of cupping is to improve blood flow to the area in order to speed up the healing process and reduce inflammation. Cupping is done using plastic, sanitized cups that are placed on the skin without the use of fire.
Cupping Increases Blood Circulation to the Area Where the Cups Are Placed
This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.
While the Marks That Sometimes Follow Cupping May Appear Painful,
the treatment is actually quite enjoyable and relaxing
Like other massage modalities, cupping soothes the nervous system, creating a parasympathetic “rest and digest” response. Inducing deep relaxation makes for a more effective, gentle and comfortable spinal adjustment. Cupping also quickly relaxes muscles and connective tissue when applied in between vertebrae. These tiny tissues are not always easily accessible by traditional massage therapy techniques making cupping a great addition to any treatment.
